Sure we have a long history of repressing people's sexuality, real or imagined, from stacking heavy stones on adulterers in the Puritan villages to kill them as punishment, to lynching young black men for even looking at white women. Sure, we made mistakes. Forgive and forget, folks!
Oh, and certainly we're still uptight about it. When we get sexually aroused at seeing Miley Cyrus move seductively and sexually at a music awards event, we chastise her, try to repress her and any normal male that's aroused by her. Why not? Our feelings of inadequacy and guilt have to come out in some form. Don't repress our repression!
After all, sex is not natural. However, to prove I'm not repressed and uptight, I regularly have orgies, along with my lovely wife, with our little sexual community we've gathered here in town. However, our daughter is still forbidden to wear short shorts and go see boys.
